Parshat Man

Our scholars teach us that saying Parshat Man the 3rd day of the week of Parshat Beshalach is a very special Segula for livlihood.

שמות פרק טז פסוּק ד
וַיֹּאמֶר ה' אֶל מֹשֶׁה הִנְנִי מַמְטִיר לָכֶם לֶחֶם מִן הַשָּׁמָיִם
Exodus Chapter 16;4
Till the last passuk, וְהָעֹמֶר, עֲשִׂרִית הָאֵיפָה הוּא.

After saying Parshat HaMann, say the following prayer for livlihood:

Time of Will עת רצון

"The ninth hour is the time of celebration and rejoicing, it is the hour of Mincha. Know that the ninth year of the Jubilee is the chosen, and the ninth month (Kislev) is the month of goodness and desire, and the ninth day of the ninth month is the most selected day from all the rest of the days of the month, and the ninth hour of the ninth day of the ninth month is the most chosen".

The above was written by Rabbi Avraham Marimon HaSfaradi, zs'kl, in the Sefer Brit Menucha ברית מנוחה.

Also Rabbi Avraham Azulai, zs'kl, wrote in his sefer Chesed Le'Avraham, "I saw in the Sefer ברית מנוחה that the ninth month in the ninth day on the ninth hour is a time of great success and the reason for this is because it is the ninth wheel of the Yesod and is a pipe of abundance".

Also the Ramban, zs'kl, writes that the ninth year of the Jubilee, on the ninth month, on the ninth day, in the ninth hour is time of special will.

Many great Rabbanim calculated the exact time of will and according to all it is tomorrow, Thursday afternoon, 9th of Kislev between the hour of 1:43 pm and 1:56 pm. It is a time of will when all the gates of Shamayim are open.

This window of opportunity is very rare when all the gates of Shamayim are open to our prayers and needs; utilize these rare 13 minutes of will to pray for all your desires and especially for Am Israel to be zoche to see the redemption, AMEN!

Deja Vu

THIS WAS WRITTEN IN 1968 41 years ago - Astonishing!

You probably don't remember the name Eric Hoffer. He was a longshoreman who turned into a philosopher, wrote columns for newspapers and some books. He was a non-Jewish American social philosopher. He was born in 1902 and died in 1983, after writing nine books and winning the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Eric Hoffer was one of the most influential American philosophers and free thinkers of the 20th Century. His books are still widely read and quoted today.

Here is one of his columns from 1968 -- 41 years ago! Some things never change.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ISRAEL'S PECULIAR POSITION...by Eric Hoffer - LA Times 5/26/68
The Jews are a peculiar people: things permitted to other nations are forbidden to the Jews. Other nations drive out thousands, even millions of people and there is no refugee problem. Russia did it, Poland and Czechoslovakia did it.
Turkey threw out a million Greeks, and Algeria a million Frenchman. Indonesia threw out heaven knows how many Chinese and no one says a word about refugees. But in the case of Israel , the displaced Arabs have become eternal refugees.
Everyone insists that Israel must take back every single one. Arnold Toynbee calls the displacement of the Arabs an atrocity greater than any committed by the Nazis.
Other nations when victorious on the battlefield dictate peace terms. But when Israel is victorious, it must sue for peace.
Everyone expects the Jews to be the only real Christians in this world. Other nations, when they are defeated, survive and recover but should Israel be defeated it would be destroyed.
Had Nasser triumphed last June [1967], he would have wiped Israel off the map, and no one would have lifted a finger to save the Jews.
No commitment to the Jews by any government, including our own, is worth the paper it is written on. There is a cry of outrage all over the world when people die in Vietnam or when two Blacks are executed in Rhodesia.
But, when Hitler slaughtered Jews no one demonstrated against him. The Swedes, who were ready to break off diplomatic relations with America because of what we did in Vietnam, did not let out a peep when Hitler was slaughtering Jews. They sent Hitler choice iron ore, and ball bearings, and serviced his troops in Norway.
The Jews are alone in the world.
If Israel survives, it will be solely because of Jewish efforts and Jewish resources. Yet at this moment, Israel is our only reliable and unconditional ally.
We can rely more on Israel than Israel can rely on us.
And one has only to imagine what would have happened last summer [1967] had the Arabs and their Russian backers won the war, to realize how vital the survival of Israel is to America and the West in general.
I have a premonition that will not leave me; as it goes with Israel so will it go with all of us.
Should Israel perish, the Holocaust will be upon us all.
Hello from Yerushalayim
B'h, our Aliya is going very well. We arrived last week b'h, and upon landing in Ben Gurion, we proceeded to the luggage carousel to pick up our 8 extra heavy and large luggages - while waiting for our luggages, we hear "All passengers from flight 808 please proceed to the lost and found." Turns out, all the passengers' luggages got lost and we had to stand on line to file a complaint and give description of our luggages... b'h. A day later, while at the kever of David HaMelech, zs'kl, we get a phone call that our luggages were found and are on the way to our home. By the time we reached home, the driver was sitting outside our door, (im)patiently waiting...
The following night was the Abir Yaakov's Hillula, Rabenu Yaakov Abuchazera, zs'kl. My sister in law is the great granddaughter of the Baba Sali, zs'kl, and she invited us to her grandmother's house for the Hillula. Her grandmother is the daughter of the Baba Sali. While there, I asked the Rabbanit and her holy sister if it's true what their father, the Baba Sali, said regarding wearing wigs - that if a woman will wear wigs, she'll never see Olam Haba. Rabbanit Pnina tichye (my sister in law's grandmother' sister) told me that she personally heard her father say when she was 18 years old "women that wears wigs light up the fire of Gehenom".
During the war in Gaza, there was a story that soldiers were saved by the same woman before entering a trapped home (trapped with hidden bombs). The soldiers were about to enter a house and when they tried walking in, a woman stopped them in their tracks and told them that it's trapped and they should not enter. This reoccured 3 times in 3 different locations in Gaza. At the third trapped house, the soldiers asked the woman, "Who are you?" and she answered "Rochel". My brother in law is friends with Rav Shmuel Eliyahu Shlita and the Rav told my brother in law that his father, Rav Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita, prayed to HaShem to send Rochel Imenu to save our soldiers and it was Rochel Imenu, a'h, that stopped the soldiers entering the trapped house.
I urge all of you to make Aliya - you will never regret leaving America but you might regret remaining in America...
Shabbat Shalom Umevorach, nava
Obama CANNOT be Gog
After listening to the Tamar Yonah show interviewing Joel Gallis and Dr. Robert Wolf (Redemption 5768), it's obvious that we all agree that the USA is without a doubt Edom - descendants of Esav (Yefet). The letters USA in Hebrew spell עשו and America's famous uncle is Sam (the minister angel of Edom is the SM; Sam in Hebrew is סמ)
BUT, I'd like to share with you a very important fact that has been overlooked regarding Obama and why there is no remote possibility that he is Gog.
Whether Obama considers himself a xtian or muslim is not significant. The color of his skin -black - is a fact that cannot be disputed.
After the Mabul, the earth populated from Shem, Cham and Yafet.
Shem - the Jews (the word anti-semite שם originates from Shem, zsk'l)
Yefet - the white non-circumcised gentiles
Cham - the blacks (his father, Noah HaTzaddik, zs'kl, cursed him)
ChaZaL tell us that although we do not know who Gog is, it is clear that he is descendant of Yefet.
פירוש המלבים על יחזקאל לח'
וחז"ל קבלו שג' פעמים יבא גוג על ירושלים, ופה באר שני פעמים והפעם הג' התבאר בזכריה (סי' י"ד), וגוג וכן ארץ המגוג לא ידענו עתה מי הם רק כפי המבואר שהוא נשיא משך ותובל הם מבני יפת ואינם נמולים
The Malbim on Yechezkel 38
ChaZaL say that Gog will come to Yerushalayim 3 times. Prophet Yechezkel, zs'kl, says he'll come twice to Yerushalayim and Prophet Zecharia, zsk'l, says he will come a third time. We do not know who Gog is and who is Magog, we only know that Gog is the president of Meshech and Tuval and are descendants of Yefet and are not circumcised.
Although Obama's mother is a white woman, his father is from Cham and therefore, it is obvious that Obama is not qualified to be Gog.
I'm still convinced that HaShem's elected Gog is George Bush also because he is a man of war - he began the war in Afganistan. According to most Gdolei HaDor, including the revered Rabbi Kaduri, zs'kl, say that this war was the beginning of Gog uMagog. He also began the war in Iraq and is still pushing the Road Map - giving Jerusalem to the Palestinians.
א. ועל סוסים ירכבו ערוך כאיש מלחמה עליך בת בבל (ירמיה נ מב
ב. ועל סוסים ירכבו ערוך כאיש למלחמה עליך בת ציון (ירמיה ו כג
Two verses from Prophet Yermiyahu, zs'l:
"And on horses they will ride, prepared like a man of war, on you daughter of Bavel (Iraq)."
"And on horses they will ride, prepared like a man of war, on you daughter of Tzion (Israel)."
The same expression describes the man of war on Iraq (Bavel) and Eretz Israel (Zion).
The gematria of the words "and on horses they will ride" ועל סוסים ירכבו and גורג בוש George Bush are both 520.
The Passuk can be read:
"George Bush, prepared like a man of war, on you daughter of Bavel"
"George Bush, prepared like a man of war, on your daughter of Tzion."
Aliya NOW
Rabbi Itamar Shwartz Shlita, who's famous for his sefer Bilvavi Mishkan Evne, recently went to the US for a speaking tour.
At at least two locations, he gave a very strong and direct message, that Jews must move to the Holy Land NOW!!! R' Shwartz is not any kind of "zionist", he's as charedi "yeshivish" as they come. He was invited to speak because of his sefarim, Bilvavi, and Da Et Atzmecha, which show how to find oneself and connect to Hashem in a true way.
In one of the locations his message basically was, I very much want to speak to you about connecting to Hashem, but first we have to take care of the basics... First, come to Eretz Israel, spend most of your time on Torah and not work, and (especially for women) dress with the same tznius as our foremothers. After you do these three things I'll be very happy to speak about the forth one.
The interesting thing is that literally the day afted he left (15 of Elul), the financial crash started...
You can listen to these drashas here: http://bilvavi.net/content/view/386/29/ (the ones in Baltimore Shomrei Emunah, and Manhattan Ramat Orah Synagogue)
Shana Tova.
The Mission
A True Story by Sarah Chava
I can still remember seeing her for the very first time, an almost angelic looking beautiful reddish blond, blue-eyed baby girl that my parents named Chana Bracha. Born just a few days before Rosh Hashana in 1963, the entire evening and on into the night, calls kept coming in with Mazal Tov wishes to our family.
My younger brother, then 12 years old and I who was almost 14 at the time, were happy and quite delighted to have a new sibling to add to our small family. My mother had a fairly easy delivery and came home in time for Yom Tov. Since my father was the Chazzan of a large shul, many of the shul members made sure that we were well supplied with deliciously cooked Yom Tov foods so my mother could rest up and just take care of the new baby.
As the months went by, as all babies, Chana Bracha began to grow and become more mature. We would rush home from school to see out little sister at the end of the day, and looked forward to seeing the radiance of her lovely smile and the sparkle of her deep blue eyes. It was a very happy time and I can look back at those moments with fond memories.
I had an emergency appendectomy on the last day of Pesach and due to some complications needed to remain in the hospital for an entire week. When I returned, I noticed a slight change in Chana Bracha – she smiled but there was something (I couldn’t put my finger on it at the time) missing. While she would always giggle when I came to pick her up, there seemed to be a distance in her eyes. Of course, my parents told me that babies have a hard time recognizing someone after being away for a few days let along an entire week, but I felt a cold wind enter my heart .
Shortly after my appendectomy, I mentioned to my parents that I thought Chana should be sitting up or at least trying to get into a sitting position. Again, my parents thought that I was being much too rigid in my timetable and that she would, of course, soon be sitting and crawling. The regular pediatrician that had seen Chana Bracha from birth insisted that she was fine. A few more months went by and Chana would just barely smile at me when I entered the room. I would hold her tightly in my arms and rock her with a bottle, my heart still reeling with sadness and foreboding thoughts. I knew she was leaving us, but no one else understood.
My parents finally began taking her to doctor after doctor – throughout the New Jersey area. Numerous testing brought answers that she was just having slow motor issues and that she would eventually catch up. But Chana Bracha did not catch up. In fact, she started on a downhill slide. Finally, in November of 1964, about the time she was 14 months old, my parents who were desperate at this point were referred to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. It only took 5 minutes for the specialists there to give my parents the diagnosis that would emotionally tear our family apart. The physicians told my parents that Chana Bracha had Tay-Sachs (effecting mostly Jewish families and a totally fatal genetic disease totally unheard of back in those days). Given the rate of her downward progression, the prediction was that she would maybe live a year.
I was waiting anxiously by the phone for the diagnosis, only to hear those dreaded words “fatal disease) coming from my father, who was so broken up with tears that it was almost impossible to understand clearly what he was saying. The doctors told him there was a ward in the hospital where other Tay-Sachs children were kept until their passing. They also told my parents that the ensuing months would be too difficult to watch and they should leave her in their care.
Immediately, I told my father that they must bring Chana Bracha home to her own family. It didn’t matter what the doctors said, I insisted. We can’t allow strangers to take care of her. We would stick together and see this through. My mother was like a ghost on her return. So tired, so pale and so distraught over my sister’s illness. We took turns feeding Chana Bracha, bathing her and keeping her room very, very meticulously spotless and quiet at all times - speaking only in whispers. Tay-Sachs is the complete deterioration of the nervous system and even the sound of a pin dropping on the floor could send her into convulsions. We lovingly took care of her, and I cried my own buckets of tears by myself in my room as she began slipping away – first her eyesight – she was in complete darkness, then her capacity to eat anything other than pureed baby food. As a family, we knew she was in Hashem’s Hands.
We lived on the Jersey seashore just one block from the Atlantic Ocean. There were man-made jetties that were out in the water to break the waves especially in the stormy weather. Even in the dead of winter, I would walk across the snow covered sand and walk out to the very end of the jetty. Here is where I would, at first, be angry with the Almighty, after all how could He be taking away my innocent baby sister. How was He allowing all of this pain to be in our family, and how would we ever come to learn to live happily again. I spent many hours over a period of time with the frigid waves of that majestic ocean slapping up against the rocks. After many months of my daily tirades out there on those rocks, I finally came to find an inner peace. I realized that it was indeed our family that had been chosen to care for this very special neshamale, who was on her mission for whatever time she was sent to us for. The anger dissipated and I davened over and over again for Chana Bracha to be at peace and not suffer.
The summer went by and Chana Bracha seemed to be on a plateau. However, as the month of Elul approached we noticed that there was a daily down-trend. Looking at a calendar and seeing that Rosh Hashana was almost upon us, my father sat us all down at the kitchen table and indicated that he felt our little sister was on her predestined schedule to leave us very soon. We stood together, although in deep pain, firmly understanding that her mission was almost complete.
And indeed, just a few days later on the first night of Rosh Hashana, Chana Bracha lost her ability to swallow. Now my mother gained all of her inner strength and rushed her to the hospital. Since it was Yom Tov, we didn’t hear a word. On the second day, I saw my mother walk in very quietly – she had walked a long way and just needed to sit down. What seemed like an eternity, but in reality was only a few short moments, my mother said in a whisper just a few words. Chana Bracha is no longer suffering. Her neshama has returned to Hashem.
It took a very long time, but our family did eventually heal from the pain of Chana Bracha’s loss. My brother and I grew to adulthood, and testing for Tay Sachs became available. Thank G-d we were both cleared through testing as not being carriers of the Tay-Sachs gene, and were able to find out bashertes, marry, and each have our own children.
I do think of her often through the year but especially, every Rosh Hashana. It is at this time I am so clearly reminded that Chana Bracha was sent on her mission to us for the reason that only Hashem knows, for two short years. She is forever locked in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
In memory of my little sister, Chana Bracha bas Shmaryahu Fishel, who was niftar on the second day of Rosh Hashana in 1965 just a few days after her second birthday.
Melave Malka
David HaMelech, zs'l, asked HaShem to tell him when he'll depart from this world. HKB'H answered that his decease would occur on a Shabbat. From then on, David HaMelech, every Motzei Shabbat (Saturday night), would celebrate the fact that he was still alive after yet another Shabbat.
The term Melave Malka literally means “Escorting the Queen”, the holy Shabbat. There are many secrets in this Seuda (meal) of "escorting" the "Shabbat queen".
Segulut (merits) of Melave Malka:
Melave Malka is a segula for protection for the coming weekdays.
Dovid HaMelech promises that whoever observes Melava Malka, he will come to him in a dream before passing away from this Olam.
Segula for complete health in mind and body. During the meal, when eating bread, say 3 times:
פת חמין במוצאי שבת סגולה לרפואה שלמה לנפש לגוף
Pat chamin be motzei shabbat segula, lerefua shlema la'nefesh la'guf
Segula for complete happiness during the week. During the meal when drinking hot fluid, say 3 times:
חמין במוצאי שבת מלוגמא לשמחה בלב לכל השבוע
Chamin be motzei shabbat melugma, le'simcha balev lechol hashavua
Powerful Segula for Parnassah is to eat a garlic tooth, not peeled (should be peeled in the mouth with teeth, like sunflower seed).
Before Birkat HaMazon, tell a story of the Ba'al Shem Tov, zs'kl - this is a tremendous Segula for Parnassah.
Melave Malka - Segula for painless birth.
Melave Malka has a great influence for health, wealth, spiritual gain, strengthened faith, and happiness.
The neshama yetera (added soul) exits after Melave Malka, giving us extended pleasure with the 'added Shabbat soul'.
Melave Malka meal is specially important because it nourishes a special bone known as the NISKOI, aka LUZ from which the body is reconstructed at the time of resurrection at Redemption.
What is the connection between the LUZ and melave malka? The Eliah Rabbah, zs'l, points out that originally, the entire body was indestructible; Adam and Chava, a'h, were meant to live forever. Death was decreed for them only because they ate of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. However, one tiny bone was not nourished by this fruit – the LUZ, which is only nourished by the Melave Malka!
Chibut HaKever (purgatory of the grave):
When a body is buried, immediately come four angels, who (spiritually) open up the grave and expands it. The soul and body are rejoined, and the Klipah (impurities) need to separate from the soul. Each angel grabs the soul from every angle, and beats him until the klipah has been broken and removed from the soul. The separation from the body can be even more painful than Gehenom. Chibut HaKever for the wicked is like removing cotton from thorns.
Chibut HaKever for the Tzadikim is like removing a strand of hair from milk, since they don't indulge in pleasures of this Olam.
Observing Melave Malka is a segula to avoid Chibut Hakever.
A tremendous Segula for not suffering Chibut HaKever is before eating the Seuda of Melave Malka, say Tehillim Perek 23.
Make sure to include Melave Malka in your itinerary by seting the table with white tablecloth and prior to the Seuda, light 4 candles - acronym ADAM:
A - Eliyahu HaNavi
D - Dovid HaMelech
M - Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess, zs'l (ask for 1 thing and put money in a charity box)
and the 4th candle for the Baal Shem Tov, zs'l.
America's Perfect Storm
Call it any name you want, but know that Hurricane Gustav formed on Monday, August 25, the same day Sec Rice was in Jerusalem trying to bully the Israelis to divide the land and city.
This storm has the possibility to be a Katrina type event all over again. Hurricane Katrina was a consequence of the destruction of Gush Katif with the Bush Administation's urging and encouragement.
When the U.S. Secetary of State says "Split Jerusalem in Two," they are actually cursing themselves. Hurricane Gustav did not even hit yet the USA while a second tropical storm is forming, Hannah, in the Caribbean and joined Gustav. In just a short time, Hannah is already the size of Gustav.
Some forecasters are predicting this storm could become a Category 5 before it hits land somewhere in the United States early next week. Looking at the map, they are lined up like planes coming in for a landing and are both on track towards the United States.
Ana BeKoach
The Ana BeKoach prayer was written in the first century by a great kabalistic Rabbi - Rabbbi Nehunia Ben Hakannah, zs'kl. The mystical prayer was written according to the seventy names of HaShem and is composed of seven lines, with six words in each line. The first letter of every word is taken, creating the 42-letter name corresponding to one of the Holy Names of HaShem. The initial letters of each word also refer to this Holy Name.
The combination of Ana BeKoach is hidden in the first 42 letters of the book of Genesis (from the first word Bereshit to the word Vavohoo בראשית, ברא אלהים, את השמים, ואת הארץ והארץ, היתה תהו ובהו). The letters are translated using a secret kabalistic calculation. The Kabbalists consider the prayer Ana BeKoa'ach to be the most mystical and powerful of all and has the power to overpower Klipat Ishmael.
Sunday: אָנָּא בְּכֹחַ גְּדֻלַּת יְמִינֶךָ תַּתִּיר צְרוּרָה
Please, with the might of Your right, untie the bundle
Chesed - Arch Angel Michael, The Seed:
The most powerful line of the prayer, to be concentrated upon in time of extreme stress or danger; The power to provide sustenance in time of need. Accessing the power of redemption. To Love Unconditionally. The negative influence of physical matter is removed from our lives. Bringing the Tree of Life reality in this realm. Yesterday's lessons are remembered.
Monday: קַבֵּל רִנַּת עַמֶּךָ שַׂגְּבֵנוּ טַהֲרֵנוּ נוֹרָא
Accept Your people's prayer song, heighten, purify us, Mighty one
Gevurah - Arch Angel Gabriel, The Facilitator:
The power to move events and control negative external forces. The gates to the Satan are closed. Limiting and limited thoughts are all forgotten. Ability to destroy all negative influences at the seed level in order to prevent bad things from ever happening. Our reactive nature is overcome. Miracles and wonders arise out of chaos.
Tuesday: נָא גִבּוֹר דּוֹרְשֵׁי יִחוּדֶךָ כְּבָבַת שָׁמְרֵם
Please hero, Your uniqueness worshippers, guard them closely
Tiferet - Arch Angel Uriel, The Restriction:
The ability to make the right decision, with the proper balance and compassion. Connections is made. both physical and spiritual, to all forms of sustenance. Our body is rejuvenated. Death is removed from all aspects of life, which includes our body, relationships, and business. Getting the support to avoid "evil speech" from our vocabulary.
Wednesday: בָּרְכֵם טַהֲרֵם רַחֲמֵי צִדְקָתֶךָ תָּמִיד גָּמְלֵם
Bless them, purify them, Your rightfulness mercies, always reward
Netzach
The endurance necessary to follow through and prove victorious. Perseverance in our spiritual work.
Thursday: חֲסִין קָדוֹשׁ בְּרוֹב טוּבְךָ נַהֵל עֲדָתֶךָ
Immune, proud, with Your good will, manage Your people
Hod
Deep insight, almost clairvoyance. the "big picture" is clearly visible. To enable the possibility of connecting to the Light to bring more Light into the world and ourselves.
Friday: יָחִיד גֵּאֶה לְעַמְּךָ פְּנֵה זוֹכְרֵי קְדֻשָּׁתֶך
Single, proud, address Your people, who remember Your holiness
Yesod
The ability to find peace and inner quiet. Expanding our vessel and desire to share and enlighten others. Spirituality in the world is increased.
Shabbat: שַׁוְעָתֵנוּ קַבֵּל וּשְׁמַע צַעֲקָתֵנוּ יוֹדֵעַ תַּעֲלוּמוֹת
Accept our plead, and hear our cry, He who knows mysteries
Malkhut - Arch Angel Raphael, The Manifestation:
Renewal, to start over. The power of renewal and restoration is obtained.
The last line of the Ana BeKoach prayer, ברוך שם כבוד מלכותו לעולם ועד, provides "grounding" to make the Holy Name manifest in our world of Malkhut. Connect the prayer by bringing it from the metaphysical realm to the physicality of your prayer. The Light from the Upper Worlds is brought in our physical existence.
Total Solar Eclipse Over China
Solar eclipses are designed for Gentile nations, whereas lunar eclipses are designed for Israel.
“Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger … the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
“And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible” (Isa. 13:9-11).
The eclipse of the Sun has traditionally been viewed with dread by the Gentiles over the ages. A powerful Solar Eclipse can create massive havoc, in accordance with other aspects in the heavens at the time. Solar eclipses don't often pass over populated areas, but when they do, they appear to have significant disruptive effects on the people and nations concerned e.g., economic or political crises, civil unrest. Solar eclipses also seem to either trigger, or amplify, natural events in the regions they affect e.g., severe weather, earthquakes and/or tsunamis.
On Friday, 2008 August 01, Erev Rosh Chodesh Av, a total eclipse of the Sun will travel from Canda, thru central Russia, ending in China. This solar eclipse is an unusual and ominous event since visibility of a total eclipse is only once in 375 years. Also, this solar eclipse will be the longest eclipse of the 21st century!
It will be interesting to watch a glimpse of the Almighty's work and see what happens to China...
~Thanks to Reb Daniel for bringing to our attention the Solar Eclipse on China~
Audio: Prophesies Coming True?
Are we experiencing End of Days prophesies? Tamar Yonah interviews Nava who writes prophecies from the Zohar HaKadosh:
"It says in the Zohar HaKadosh that President Bush/President Gog will come to Jerusalem (as President) the first time, for a 3-day visit and will leave healthy and whole. Within short time, he'll return to Israel a second time also as President Bush and during this time, judgment on the world will be tough. In total, President Gog Bush will visit Israel 3 times. But between his second and third visit, something will occur that will cause the USA elections to be cancelled and President Bush will remain the president."
Time will tell if this will occur.
Also, check out a very important project where you can participate in the refurbishing of the grave of the Prophetess Deborah, a'h!
(שלמה המלך)
"Saul fell once, and he was dismissed. David twice, yet he stayed on."
שאול באחת ועלתה לו. דוד בשתים ולא עלתה לו.
(יומא כ"ב, עמ' ב')
ON EQUITY:
"If over the things which concern himself he is not faithful, how then can he be faithful over what concerns others?"
על עצמו אינו נאמן. כיצד יהא נאמן על של אחרים.
(משנה)
"As is the claim for a hundred [pennyweight], so is the claim for a penny."
(Meaning, one must be faithful and honest even in the least amount.)
דין פרוטה כדין מאה.
ON WRATH:
"The angry man is controlled by many and variegated manifestations of hell."
כל הכועס כל מיני גיהנם שולטין בו.
"A man is known by his purse, by his drinking* and by his anger."
(* lit., "by his cup.")
The three things here named have all similar sounds in Hebrew.
אדם ניכר בכיסו בכוסו ובכעסו.
ON SATAN:
"Don't open your mouth to Satan!"
(A warning about casually speaking a thing against oneself or others, and thereby giving Satan the forethought of doing the thing which was spoken.)
אל תפתח פיך לשטן.
ON EXILE:
"Exile atones for all things."
גלות מכפרת על הכל.
(סנהדרין ל"ז, ב')
ON THE MESSIAH:
"The son of David shall not come until money has vanished from the purse." (Meaning, until poverty prevails.)
אין בן-דוד בא עד שתכלה פרוטה מן הכיס.
ON SINCERITY:
"G-d desires your heart."
רחמנא לבא בעי.
(סנהדרין ק"ו, ב')
ON BLESSINGS:
"Let not the blessing of a commoner be esteemed a light thing in thy sight."
אל תהי ברכת הדיוט קלה בעיניך.
ON THE SABBATH:
"He who busies himself with Sabbath preparations has that which to eat on the Sabbath."
(This parable was meant to be understood in regard to one's preparing himself for the world to come.)
מי שטרח בערב שבת יאכל בשבת.
"Better to make yourself a simple Sabbath meal, and not put yourself in need of others."
עשה שבתך חול ואל תצטרך לבריות.
"Only that labour which comes with pre-meditated thought has the Law (Torah) prohibited."
(Meaning, for example, if a Jew leaned against the wall in the dark and inadvertently rubbed against the light switch, turning it on, he is exempt from all punishment. But if he had forgotten that the day was a Sabbath and he turned on the light switch, he is culpable thereby, and must bring a sin-offering.)
מלאכת מחשבת אסרה התורה.
ON POVERTY:
"There is no man who does not at some time come to this extreme measure. If not him, then it is his son. And if it's not his son, then it is his son's son."
אין לך אדם שאינו בא לידי מדה זו. אם לא הוא, בנו. אם לא בנו, בן בנו.
(בר קפרא)
"A trifling amount hardly satisfies the lion, neither does a cistern fill up by the oozing of its bank."
(Said to King David as parable about the poor of Israel, and how they were incapable of making a living one from the other. Rather, they were admonished by King David to go out and wage war upon their enemies, and to take from them spoils for their own needs and sustenance. The second clause of this parable follows the explanation given by the Geonim, rather than by Rashi. For a cistern can only be filled up by channeling water into it from a duct or sluice brought from afar.)
אין הקומץ משביע את הארי ואין הבור מתמלא מחוליתו.
(ברכות ג' עמ' ב')
ON WEALTH:
"A man is not always privileged to eat from two tables."
(Said with regard to the spiritual wealth gained at one's acquisition of the Torah, as opposed to the physical wealth to be had in this world. Usually, the one comes at the expense of the other, and it is very rare that both are found together.)
לא תמיד זוכה אדם לשתי שולחנות.
ON ISRAEL:
"All [of the people] of Israel are inextricably bound* together."
(*lit. "are surety one for another")
כל ישראל ערבים זה לזה.
(לקוח מסנהדרין מ"ג, ב')
"The people of Israel are bashful, compassionate and benevolent."
עם ישראל ביישנים, רחמנים וגומלי חסדים.
"Though he may have sinned, he is still an Israelite!"
אע"פ שחטא, ישראל הוא.
(סנהדרין מ"ד, א')
"The native-born Jew, [always] upon the earth; a proselyte, in the heavens of heavens!"
(Meaning, things are not always what they should be. This proverb was said with regard to the respect G-d gives to him who has joined the religion, when it would seem that a native-born Jew should be all the more honoured by G-d.)
יציבא בארעא וגיורא בשמי שמיא.
(תלמוד ירושלמי)
"G-d did not disperse Israel amongst the nations, except that proselytes might join themselves to them."
ON ESTEEM:
"A name made is a name lost."
(Meaning, he who seeks his own self-aggrandizement will in the end be held in bad report, either on account of envy from others, or simply because of his being over-concerned with public affairs, which usually hastens the end of that man.)
נגד שמא אבד שמיה.
(משנה, פרקי אבות א', י"ג ואבות דרבי נתן י"ב:י"ג)
ON BLESSINGS:
(אברהם אבן-עזרא, על קהלת ה', א')
ON CONTRITENESS:
"Be exceedingly lowly in spirit."
טוב שברופאים לגיהנם.
(יומא ל', א')
"Better a mere kab from the floor, than a kor from the rooftop."
המוציא מחבירו עליו הראיה.
"No prosecutor becomes an advocate."
(This maxim is especially used on the Jewish New Year's Day whereon, by tradition, Jewish women are not allowed to don their gold jewellery. Gold, "the prosecutor" in this case, is a thing which calls to remembrance the incident of the golden calf at Sinai, and accuses us before G-d. Therefore, on a day when we ought to be remembered for the good, we abstain for doing anything which will put us in ill-report with our G-d.)
אין קטיגור נעשה סניגור.
"More desirable [than prohibiting a thing], is the power it takes to render a thing permitted."
כח דהתירא עדיף.
(תלמוד)
"It is better to sit upon the dunghill of the city of Mahaseya, rather than in the courtyards of Pom Baditha!"
(For there were thieves living in Pom Baditha, who regularly took away the personal effects of all guests sleeping there.)
אקילקי דמתא מחסיא תיבו ולא אפדני דפומבדיתא.
(כריתות ו' עמ' א')
"The world is built on loving kindness."
Enigma Redemption
This is the third time that HaRav HaGaon HaMekubal Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita is hospitalized.
Rav Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita is an orphan since the age of 11 when his father, HaRav Salman Eliyahu, zs'lk, passed away. His mother, Mazal Tov, single-handedly raised and educated him to become G'dol HaDor.
The widow mother's name (Mazal) Tov, hints very strong resemblance to a very similar story of an orphan that forced Eliyahu HaNavi (zachur latov) to come and heal him. The gematria of Tov is 17 and if we look in the sefer of Kings 1, chapter 17, passage 17, we see very strong replica of what can happen...
יז וַיְהִי, אַחַר הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה, חָלָה, בֶּן-הָאִשָּׁה בַּעֲלַת הַבָּיִת; וַיְהִי חָלְיוֹ חָזָק מְאֹד, עַד אֲשֶׁר לֹא-נוֹתְרָה-בּוֹ נְשָׁמָה.
17. And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.
וַתֹּאמֶר, אֶל-אֵלִיָּהוּ, מַה-לִּי וָלָךְ, אִישׁ הָאֱלֹהִים: בָּאתָ אֵלַי לְהַזְכִּיר אֶת-עֲו‍ֹנִי, וּלְהָמִית אֶת-בְּנִי.
18. And she said to Elijah: 'What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? Did you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?'
יט וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלֶיהָ, תְּנִי-לִי אֶת-בְּנֵךְ; וַיִּקָּחֵהוּ מֵחֵיקָהּ, וַיַּעֲלֵהוּ אֶל-הָעֲלִיָּה אֲשֶׁר-הוּא יֹשֵׁב שָׁם, וַיַּשְׁכִּבֵהוּ, עַל-מִטָּתוֹ
19. And he said to her: 'Give me your son.' And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into the upper chamber, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.
כ וַיִּקְרָא אֶל-יְהוָה, וַיֹּאמַר: יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי--הֲגַם עַל-הָאַלְמָנָה אֲשֶׁר-אֲנִי מִתְגּוֹרֵר עִמָּהּ הֲרֵעוֹתָ, לְהָמִית אֶת-בְּנָהּ.
20. And he cried to HaShem, and said: 'My G.od, hast Thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?'
כא וַיִּתְמֹדֵד עַל-הַיֶּלֶד שָׁלֹשׁ פְּעָמִים, וַיִּקְרָא אֶל-יְהוָה וַיֹּאמַר: יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי, תָּשָׁב נָא נֶפֶשׁ-הַיֶּלֶד הַזֶּה עַל-קִרְבּוֹ.
21. And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried to HaShem, and said: 'My God, I pray, let this child's soul come back into him.'
כב וַיִּשְׁמַע יְהוָה, בְּקוֹל אֵלִיָּהוּ; וַתָּשָׁב נֶפֶשׁ-הַיֶּלֶד עַל-קִרְבּוֹ, וַיֶּחִי.
22. And HaShem heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back into him, and he revived.
כג וַיִּקַּח אֵלִיָּהוּ אֶת-הַיֶּלֶד, וַיֹּרִדֵהוּ מִן-הָעֲלִיָּה הַבַּיְתָה, וַיִּתְּנֵהוּ, לְאִמּוֹ; וַיֹּאמֶר, אֵלִיָּהוּ, רְאִי, חַי בְּנֵךְ
23. And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the upper chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother; and Elijah said: 'See, your son lives.'
The Angel of Death is very afraid of Moshiach, because when Moshiach arrives, the Satan's job is finished. HKB'H brings Moshiach in secrecy, in ways the Satan would never imagine.
It is our prayer and hope that HaShem will send Eliyahu HaNavi zachur latov to personally heal HaRav Mordechai Tzemach Eliyahu Shlita ben Mazal Tov and announce the redemption, Amen.
Mass prayers for HaRav Mordechai Tzemach Eliyahu Shlita ben Mazal Tov at the Kotel
Pop Goes the Weasel
After Sisra's downfall, Devorah HaNevia, a'h, asks HaShem כֵּן יֹאבְדוּ כָל־אֹויְבֶיךָ יְהוָה Let all Your enemies perish, HaShem.
This short video is an example of how terrorists that want to harm and kill us, backfires on them, literally.
Organ Cannibalism
"Thou shalt not kill," cried the pashkevils (large posters hung in public spaces) to the ultra-Orthodox community in Jerusalem on Wednesday. The rallying cry asked the haredi public to prepare for a battle that "will shake the very foundations of this country," against the newly approved law regarding brain and respiratory death. The writers accused the new bill of "permitting murder in the case of brain death." Which, they said, was "murder in every sense of the word."
Community rabbis cautioned the public to be aware of the new law and demand Torah commands be fulfilled in their entirety. "Doctors should also beware not to betray the word of God, and not to assist in murder," read the posters, adding blessings of wellness to the people of Israel suffering from illness.
On Wednesday morning two pashkevils ran the views of two of the most prominent rabbis belonging to the Lithuanian non-Hasidic ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. The first was a renewed publishing of a poster from 1991, the year in which Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv and Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach determined that the pronouncing one dead on the basis of brain death was tantamount to murder.
The second poster was published solely in Elyashiv's name, and said: "As I have already stated, as long as the heart (of the prospective organ donor) is still pumping blood, even in the case of 'brain death,' it is not permitted to remove any organ from the patient.'
A related article published in the community's paper read: "In the world of the Torah and the Halacha, much concern has been expressed regarding the provocative and shameless intervention in the grave subject of murder and (the Jewish law of) saving a life."
Meanwhile, on the same day that this bill passed in the 'Knesset', at the other side of the globe in Oklahoma City, OK...
Four months after he was declared brain dead and doctors were about to remove his organs for transplant, Zach Dunlap says he feels "pretty good."
Dunlap was pronounced dead in Wichita Falls, Texas, after he was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident. His family approved having his organs harvested. His father, Doug, said he saw the results of the brain scan. "There was no activity at all, no blood flow at all."
But as family members were paying their last respects, suddenly he moved his foot and hand and reacted to a pocketknife scraped across his foot and to pressure applied under a fingernail.
After 48 days in the hospital, he returned home. Dunlap, 21, of Frederick, said he has no recollection of the crash. But one thing he does remember is hearing the doctors pronounce him dead. "I'm glad I couldn't get up and do what I wanted to do," Asked if he would have wanted to get up and shake them and say he's alive, Dunlap responded: "Probably would have been a broken window that went out."
LET US LIVE:
If any of your loved family member needs to go to a hospital, c'v, please make sure that the patient signs that he's not willing to be cannibalized for any organs in case of brain-dead and demands continued medical attention as long as the heart continues pumping.
Avenge Yeshiva Attack
HaRav Shmuel Eliyahu Shlita;
Chief Rav of the city of Tzfat,
son of HaRav HaMekubal Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita.
From the newspaper Israel Shelanu
It's been 2 weeks since the massacre at Mercaz HaRav and we didn't hear any talks of revenge. Something in the decision-makers is damaged. Revenge used to be a basic part of Israel's policy. Every 'fedayeen' (terrorists previous name) operation resulted in revenge. This is what the army unit 101 did in Gaza and its areas. That's how they stopped the grenade explosions in cities in southern Israel. This is how they operated against murderers driving on the bus towards Eilat. This is how they stopped the theft of farms in Gush Katif.
Today, they forgot this power. They throw rocks on soldiers without fear, every suicide becomes a 'shahid'. Anyone that murder a Jew brings great honor to his family.
A state that is concerned about her citizens has to hang the 10 sons of the terrorist on a high 50 ft. tree for everyone should see and fear.
You must call it by its name. Revenge, revenge, revenge. You must not forget. Revenge on the massacre they did to Yeshiva Mercaz HaRav. I am not speaking to private people, I am speaking about the 'state'. The government must hurt them till they yell out, 'enough', till they lay on the ground and scream, 'help'. This drive is not for the purpose of revenge but rather to frighten them. The vengeance must be so painful until it will scorch our enemies and haters till they realize that Jewish blood is worth more than gold. A revenge is necessary on such a large scale till it will reverberate in the entire world.
I already foresee skepticism from the 'noblemen' and words such as, "barbaric," "it's not ethical," "Rav," "instigator," and the rest of boorish vocabulary coming out of their throat. Don't even take them into consideration. According to them there will be no Israel within 30 years. They already provided their children with foreign passports. We will stay here, we will live amongst people that clearly understand the language of revenge.
The 'leftists' do not determine what is ethical or not. HKB'H rules and HaShem said לעשות נקמה בגוים do revenge to the nations. It is HKB'H that brought the Egyptians to the seashore in order to drown them. It was only for the purpose of revenge so everyone will see and fear.
Remember. According to the Torah, "revenge" is not a coarse word. ChaZaL tell us that revenge was placed between the 2 letters of HaShem. The Gemara says "אל נקמות ה' אל נקמות הופיע". It is only between 2 friends that revenge is prohibited. When a state avenges, she is praised.
Every state in the world avenges when damages is done to her, including the USA, Turkey, India, Europe and Russia. Even the third-world avenges. How is it that the whole world is wrong and only the 'Israel leftists' are right?
They are not correct. They are tired. They lost the will to live. We must, simply must, unite our healthy strength in our nation. Remove these tired leaders, send them to an old-age home and bring instead of them invigorated power to rule. Leaders that know what ethics means. Leaders who know the value of life. Leaders who know the value of Am Israel. Leaders who understand where we came from and where we are going. We must.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Regarding the massacre at the Yeshiva Mercaz HaRav, Mekubalim of Yeshiva Nachlat Yitzchak recently forecasted that they anticipate a large struggle, "which the 'state' will NOT participate." In other words, there will be retribution but not from the IDF. In their exact words, it will be a vengeance of "נקמה מדאורייתא" (NK: from the Torah). People asked: "Is it permitted to revenge this crime?". They answered: "It is an obligation to avenge."
