Dreaming of Moshiach

Divine Providence

I remembered when doing Igrat Kodesh whether to continue or stop transcribing Moshiach dreams, the Lubavitch Rebbe, zs'l, said very similar "Torah and Mitzvot to the Jew is what water is to a fish. To be sure, a fish may sometimes jump out of its elements, the water, but it is not its normal way of life to live on land, except that in the case of a fish, the consequences are almost immediate. Whereas in the case of a Jew, G-d desires that he should freely choose the path of Torah and Mitzvot, without fear or coercion".

This triggered my memory even more...
In 1941, the Nazis (imach shemam) gained control of France and the Lubavitch Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson and his wife, Chaya Mushka, zs'l, escaped to Lisbon, Portugal.

They were scheduled to board a ship that will take them to America. But shortly before boarding the ship, the Rebbe received a short and astounding telegram from his father-in-law (the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, grand Rabbi Josef Isaac Schneersohn, zs'l) "Do not journey on this ship."

Without as much as a blink of an eye, the Rebbe canceled the reservations and waited for the next departure. During his 3 day-stay in Lisbon, the Rebbe wrote a note in his private journal before boarding the Sorpo Pinto in Lisbon, the last ship that would take them to the United States.

Because the Lubavitch Rebbe directed me to search for the Rav in Lisbon, Portugal, I was privileged to be told the contents of the Rebbe's note. What did the Rebbe, zs'l, mysteriously authored in his private journal while in Lisbon?

"אין בן דוד בא עד שנתבקש דג לחולה ולא ימצא..."
"The descendant of David (Mashiach) will not come until they will search for a fish for a sick person and it will be impossible to find one." (Sanhedrin 98a)

The way I understand is a sick person means "spiritually sick". Torah and Mitzvot to the Jew is what water is to a fish. When the Gates of Tshuva will be shut down, the spiritually sick person will not be able to heal - to do Teshuva. Therefore, will not be able to eat from the feast of the Livyatan.

When I wrote Weird Fish Story, I understand now that it's not so weird after all. Mr. Fish's death is a clear sign that "Days of Moshiach" are quickly approaching.

Comment from DF:
Tzaddikim are compared to fish. It could also mean that before Moshiach, we will be searching for a tzaddik but we will not be able to find one.

Comment from SB:
That means we are really at the end of days because we cannot find a genuine Tzaddik!!
