Waiting for the Redemption

Guest post by Reb Aryeh

As I was reading your dream about the passuk I noticed...
backwards it is מלך י-ה - HaShem has reigned; HaShem reigns.

Another interesting thing I noticed is that in the Haggada, there's a song at the very end that says:
קרב יום אשר הוא לא יום ולא לילה Near is the day that is neither day nor night
the gematria of the blue letters are (תשס"ח (5768

Recently, I was looking at the pesukim in Navi Zechariah (zs'l) perek 12;3. It says:
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a stone of burden for all the peoples

The gematria of the bold large words is (תשס"ט (5769 and the end acronym of the three words is אמת (truth).

I recently heard from a very reliable source that Rav Elya Svei Shlita, Rosh Yeshiva of Philadelphia, said the following, "In תרצ"ט, 1939, Rav Elchanan Wasserman, zs'kl, said that Moshiach would come in 70 years."

After I heard this, I "happened" upon another story that Reb Elya Lopian z"skl Ish Ha'Elokim said from Rav Elchanan Wasserman that he was with the Chofetz Chaim, zs'l, in the beginning of World War I (circa 1914) and the Chofetz Chaim said that WWI was the first of three Gog Umagog wars. The next war would be in 25 years. That story ends there, but clearly Rav Elchanan Wasserman was someone in the know.

The gemara in Rosh Hashana lists off the ten exiles of the Sanhedrin which correspond to the ten exiles of the Shechina:
1. Chanut
2. Yerushalayim
3. Yavneh
4. Usha
5. Yavneh
6. Usha
7. Shfar'am
8. Bet She'arim
9. Tzipori
10. Teveriah.

The Gemara ends off with a statement of R' Yochanan, zs'l.
From there (Teveria) will they be redeemed in the future.

"I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the moshiach, and though he may tarry, still I await him every day."

Blessed is His name for eternity in all worlds
