Do You See the Truth?

Speaking to a few people today, I asked them what they see and as they looked out the window, one replied, 'bus, a white car and a pedestrian'. Another person answered "trees, flowers, buildings". The third person saw something totally different, "sun, sky, and earth". 3-4 people are looking at the same thing, and each is seeing something different. Personally, I see the Admat Kodesh (holy land) calling for all us to return home.

It is a tremendeous merit to be allowed to live in Eretz Israel and those that live physically far, and don't feel the need to come home, are far from seeing and living the truth.

It's true that it's a big nisayon (test) to leave everything that is so familiar to you, the language, schools, stores, groceries, friends, family, etc. BUT money will make the wisest man blind. This is exactly what happened in the time before Purim...

Vashti opened community centers to help Am Israel thruout the 127 states that she and her husband, Achashverosh, ruled. Signs and bulletins were posted that any Jewish girl over 12 years old that will sign up at the community centers, will get a job with high paying salaries. She arranged for them to work in governmental offices for few hours a week and earning megabucks. She even humbled herself and would visit the employed Jewish girls, and spoke with them like a friend.

When the young girls started having money, it confused their innocent minds, especially the poor families where she was able to support her whole family. The Shabbat meal discussions would turn into praise of the working girl and praise to the governmental offices, and praise to the wicked king and queen.

After the girls settled in their employment position too comfortably, Vashti came out with a decree that no one is allowed to wear long dresses, only short mini dresses/skirts without sleeves. But with this decree, she raised each girl's salary and send gifts to the families. The girl's father would see her daughter dressed as a prostitute and would yell. But the family members would yell back "do you want us to die of starvation?", and would justify the daughter's unmodest clothing because she was bringing in money. A week or 2 would pass by and the father would see that he lost total control and would eat himself up, but what can he do? Better to eat food than one another...

The next sly step that Vashti did was install non-Jewish boys to be employed at the same governmental offices and she would make sure that offices were so small that they would have to 'work' elbow to elbow with one another. When the boys saw pretty unmodest girls, they would flirt with the girls and play...

Shabbat was an official day off from employment because everyone knew Shabbat is a holy day for the Jews. After removing their modest clothing, and after throwing non-Jewish boys into their lives, she decreed that no Jewish girl will work on Shabbat, except for one hour in the mornings. (Measurement for measurement, that's why she was killed on Shabbat, undressed).

Don't fall into the trap of money, money, money. Don't under-estimate the yetzer hara's (evil inclination) power. The biggest God-fearing Tzaddikim are afraid of the yetzer hara, so what can we say?

HaShem's Light is getting stronger every precious minute, CHOOSE to live and feel it.
