Lower is Upper
A Chassid passed away and arrived at Bet Din of Shamayim. The Malachim (angels) were reading his good and bad deeds. It was unanimously decided based on Waco Texas, he is invited to Gan Eden.[+/-] show/hide text
The chassid asked to please explain what is waco? During his whole life, he never stepped out of Yerushalayim, let alone Waco. He didn't even know there's a place called Waco.
They told him that once, while he davened at the Kotel, a rich man from Waco Texas was observing his prayers and was deeply touched. That same day he decided that when he returns home, to Waco, he will build the most beautiful Orthodox synagogue, and will support the upkeep of the synagogue.
Single-handedly he brought over 30 families back to Judaism. All this was in the Chassid's merit and he didn't even know it....
As it says, עליונים תחתונים ותחתונים עליונים Upper is Lower and Lower is Upper - what seems to us to be insignificant; lower - in Shamayim, is the Upper.
