Global Economy War

Cost increases are affecting most countries around the globe and people are paying as much as 80% more for common kitchen staples, like eggs, bread, milk, chicken and more.

Fuel is responsible for 30 percent of the increase in global food prices, pushing 30 million people worldwide into poverty. The global food system is heavily dependent on oil, not just for shipping goods from one location to another but also for production, packaging, and processing. As the price of oil rises—crude oil is currently hovering at around $140 a barrel—so do the costs of planting, harvesting, and delivering food.

Food riots have been reported in Egypt, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Madagascar, the Philippines and Haiti in the past month. In Pakistan and Thailand, army troops have been deployed to avoid seizing of food from the fields and from warehouses.”

The midwest floods has also contributed the latest blow to Americans' pocketbooks. The price of staples from beef to chicken to eggs to milk is expected to go higher as the corn that goes into feeding U.S. livestock gets even more scarce.

The rising cost of food is becoming a major source of global social instability and economic hardship.

But... all this is our fault and no one else is to blame. The Zohar HaKadosh speaks about the global economy war and says,

בההוא זמנא דמתרחקין ישראל מחכמת קבלת משה ואתרחקא איהי מנייהו בההוא זמנא ותרד בת פרעה לרחוץ על היאור נחתא מידת-הדין לקטרגא עליהון ולאתרחצא מדמא דישראל דאינון דמים מעות דלהון דאינון חייהון
When Am Israel distance themselves from learning the inner Torah, this will lead the wicked to steal money from them (the Jews). Those that have the capability to learn the inner Torah but are not doing so, they (not only them) cause harsh economy decrees and for Am Israel to lose their money.

Gemara Sanhedrin (צ"ו ע"א):
אין בן-דוד בא עד שתכלה פרוטה מן הכיס
"The son of David (Moshiach) shall not come until money has vanished from the purse." (meaning, until poverty prevails)"

Chazal in Masechet Sota wrote what will happen in the days preceding the Geulah:
...והיוקר יאמיר Costliness will increase (inflation).
