Ha'azinu - LISTEN
Parshat Ha'azinu in "Ahavat Chaim", written by the Mekubal Rav Menachem Menashe zs'l, speaks about End of Days.
Parsha Ha'azinu hints about the war of Gog uMagog, it's a war that never happened before. The heaven and earth will shake and 2/3 of the world will be destroyed. It is also hinted that the war of Gog uMagog is necessary to occur, who causes it? HKB'H gave us, the Jewish nation, the holy Torah to observe and keep its commandments. The angels keep the Torah according to the Sod (secret) of the PaRDeS but Am Israel needs to keep the Torah according to the Pshat, Remez, Drash, and Sod. Moshe Rabenu, zs'l, warned Am Israel to keep the Torah and prophesized in this Parsha that at the End of Days, Am Israel will do bad and because of so much Bitul Torah ('annulling the Torah, meaning wasting time that could otherwise be devoting to Torah learning), this is the reason that 2/3 of the world will be destroyed, r'l, and very few will survive.
And whose fault is it that there is so much Bitul Torah? It is the fault of the government - the Erev Rav, as it says in the Zohar HaKadosh, zs'l: "The Erev Rav will turn the young children of Talmudei Torah into seculars, the schools will be 'modern' and will deny religious principles. They will claim that the Torah did not come from Shamayim, c'v, and that learned men wrote it for money. They will make fun of the religion and many will throw away the religion and the Mitzvot to be socially accepted, r'l."
Very few will remain loyal with Emunah to HaShem and have love for HaShem's Torah. All Torah commentators say that it is the fault of the dictatorship of the Erev Rav. They are guilty and responsible for the war of Gog uMagog.
Because of bitul Torah, the 70 nations will prosecute us and war against us and it will be the Birur, and not one person from the Erev Rav will survive. Who'll survive? Only those that keep the Torah and who did Teshuva -- those that do not follow the evil of the Erev Rav. Who will survive to see the fall of the enemies? Only in the merit of the person keeping Torah, not in the merit of forefathers.
The destructive war of Gog uMagog will begin at the end of the world and slowly, the news of the war will escalate and will widen, till it reaches Eretz Israel. Divine punishments will be given to the entire world. The first 'mabul' was with water (generation of the mabul) from heaven. The last 'mabul' (generation of the Geula) will be a 'mabul' of fire, from people, and the reason for it is because of the sins of forbidden sexual relations. No one will be able to escape, as it says in the book of the Prophet Isaiah, zs'l,: ארובות ממרום נפתחו וירעשו מוסדי הארץ for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble. Today, we understand that it means jets, war planes, and atomic boms.
Ha'azinu האזינו השמים ותשמע הארץ - Listen Heaven, and hear earth. Why the heaven and the earth need to listen? The redemption will not come thru the nations. HKB'H will redeem Am Israel thru the heaven and earth.
Moshe Rabenu told us, Ha'azinu - LISTEN, keep the Torah and when you follow the Torah, you will not fear wars. LISTEN - even when you are at work, LISTEN - even if you are 'busy' with materialistic things, LISTEN - also when you are occupied.
Prophet Yeshaya (zs'l) says "On that day, HaShem will befall with His big, strong, and hard sword on the leviatan (לויתן) and deadbolt snake (נחש בריח). Rashi (zs'l) explains on Targum Yonatan (zs'l) who will HaShem befall with the strong sword? On a king that is political like Pharaoh.
And ""On that day, HaShem will erase with His big, strong, and hard sword on the leviatan (לויתן) and deadbolt snake (נחש בריח)".
Mezudat David (zs'l) says that the livyatan is Ishmael and Edom.

Rabi Yitzhok said: 'The year that Melech HaMoshiach will be revealed, all the nations of the world will be provoking each other. The King of Persia (Iran Ahmadinejad) will provoke the King of Arabia (USA, Gog Bush), and the King of Arabia will go to Edom (Russia Vladimir Putin) to take counsel, but the King of Persia will in turn, destroy the entire world. The nations of the world will be outraged and panicked. They will fall on their faces, and they will experience pains like birth pangs.
Rabenu David Kimchi, zs'l, says that before the Geula, all the wicked will die. Do not be afraid from all this, be afraid of HKB'H and correct our ways by learning Torah and doing chesed, and thru this, you will have salvation.
