Redemption is a Process

A recent interview with HaRav Nir Ben Arzi Shlita about the redemption HERE (in Hebrew), courtesy of Kaduri.net

HaRav Nir Ben Arzi Shlita (2002)
One must understand that the Redemption (“ha’geula”) is a long and difficult process. For in order to change the world from black to white, from bad to good, after the degeneration of thousands of years, it is not a simple matter.

As we come closer to the revelation of the Moshiach (the Messiah), the difficulties and the pressures shall intensify. In the coming year, the world shall be harshly shaken since the Creator wants to return the world to its former state, both physically and spiritually. The wanderings and the shocks that the earth shall experience, gradually peel and remove the Evil.

All the forces of nature are partners with the Master of the World in this process of rehabilitation and fixing of the earth, in order to destroy the Evil from the world and remove all of the Impurities (“ha’tumah”). The fire, wind, water, and earth, are all partners in this purification and cleansing process of the world, since the Evil has imbedded itself not only to mankind, but also to all of nature, in the earth and all that is found on it. The time has come that the Creator wants to see his world, pure and holy, as it was originally created.

About the States:
Between the states of the world there shall be immense pressure and lack of harmony, that will cause military tensions between countries. The countries that shall suffer such military tensions, shall sense great fear, and shall be afraid of the threat of atomic or chemical warfare.

The leadership of the United States shall be questioned, there shall be no harmony even between friendly states, and there shall be no concurrance as to the military defense of the world. There shall be a great confusion between the nations, every country shall be for itself, and each one shall have its own opinion.

The Arab countries shall be divided amongst themselves and each one shall be alone. The world shall enter into a great fear and a very great anxiety before the Creator reveals his Kingdom.

On Sustenance and Economy:
The world economy shall enter into great confusion and lack of stability. There shall be rises and fall, but more and more falls. When the world economy is strong, the pride of man rises, and the Evil strengthens in the world.

When the economy declines and when there is lack of confidence, pride is broken and people become more submissive and compassionate. When there is no economic confidence, people better remember the Creator and are submissive before Him. They understand that the power of man is small and weak, and that the Creator is who rules the world.

Anyone who walks the path of mercy and charity, of giving with no intent to receive, of assistance from all the heart to those in need, shall not be financially lacking. It is imperative on every Jew to help his brother in need, for the crises are not easy, and by acting accordingly we shall bring forth the mercy and compassion from above.

The Kingdom and the Government:
The government shall continue to function with difficulty, the confusion and lack of knowledge how to solve problems shall continue. It will not matter who is Prime Minister, it will be difficult to lead and to solve the problems of the state, since the time of the rule of human logic has ended.

The Creator is allowing us to understand who actually rules us, and soon the redemption leadership (“manhigut ha’geula”) shall begin. There shall be no solution to the Arab problem, the situation shall not calm down until the revelation of our righteous Moshiach.

The End of the Diaspora:
The Diaspora of the Nation of Israel has ended,- she has completed her task. There shall be a wave of immigrants from the whole world to Israel. Whoever is wise will come now and shall merit arriving in a good state and even with his property.

Natural disasters, the economic downfall, along with anti-semitism shall continue and grow, shall push the Jews to come quickly to Israel. The Jews living in Israel must open their hearts to many Jews who shall need help when they arrive in Israel, and this shall add points of merit and unity to the Nation of Israel.

The Year of Redemption:
This whole process, although it is difficult is all for the best, its purpose is to bring the redemption to the world, so that there shall be a holy and pure world filled with peace and grace. We, Jews, must strengthen through great faith in the Creator and pray to Him from the depths of our heart that the redemption should come as much as possible from compassion.

All the Jews must feel as brethren, to love one another, to indulge one another, and to have compassion for one another. All that the Holy One does is for the betterment of the Nation of Israel, and soon we shall merit the complete redemption (“geula shelema”), forget all the problems and troubles, and there shall be eternal happiness, and never-ending grace.

All Jews must be submissive to our Father in Heaven, be connected in the heart, turn our eyes to Jerusalem, and raise our hands to the Creator in prayer. For we have one to rely upon – upon our good Father in Heaven.

We must be happy, despite the difficulties, happy since very soon there shall be the great redemption, and via the happiness we shall ease the troubles and speed the coming of Moshiach. We believe that we shall merit, in the coming year, the revelation of our righteous Moshiach - through mercy and compassion.
