Neshama Asks for Prayers
Not long ago in NY, a young man passed away after suffering with sorrowful pain and illness, r'l.
The last weeks of his life, he lived by his uncle. The Friday after his passing, he came to his uncle in a dream. He asked that on his tombstone should be engraved ... and gave specific instructions. The uncle asked him if they should hide his age on the memorial monument, the neshama answered "yes". The dream was repeated twice with the same request. The family decided to implement the Neshama's will. The following is written on the tombstone:
The Merciful will have mercy on the Neshama of the young adult, Yochanan, a'h, son of Rabbi Aaron Fried, n'e.
Passed away with good name Friday nite, Parshat Shlach, 27 Sivan 5766...
He suffered a lot and never got angry
Please study Mishnayot
Please say Tehillim
Please light candles
for the Neshama to go higher and in his memory
Mother's name: Devorah Dvasha
Wording engraved on stone was given by the Niftar twice after he passed away, thru a dream to a family member.
