Beware of the Hypocrites
This is an unbelievable, yet all too believable, quote posted by A Simple Jew and reposted at Mystical Paths:.

(Otzar Chayim) - I heard from my teacher and father-in-law, who was the chief disciple of Rebbe Yechiel Michal of Zlotchov, that once when the Baal Shem Tov was traveling on the road, he stepped into a wooded area to pray the afternoon prayer. His disciples were dumbfounded to see him hitting his head against a tree, crying and screaming. Afterward, they asked him what had happened. He explained that he had seen, with divine inspiration, that in the generations before the coming of the Moshiach there would be a multitude of rabbis, and that they would be the very ones who would impede the redemption.

The Gemara in Sota 49a says that Moshiach will come to a generation whose "pnei hador are like the pnei hakelev" (face of generation is like face of a dog).
Rabbi Yisrael Salanter, zs'l, explains that pnei hador are referring to the religious leaders of the generation. Similar to the dog, says Rabbi Yisrael Salanter, the Jewish leaders of the pre-Messianic era will appear to be leading their people, when actually they will be guiding the people by responding to their wishes. The people will be pulling and guiding their leaders, persuading them to restructure religious morals in order to fit in with their lifestyles. Such a generation cannot help but stray from the path of truth. It seems like most of them are out for one thing, their own good.
Over 500 years ago, Rabbi Chaim Vital, zs'l, student of the Arizal said "At the end of days, a person will need much mercy to find an authentic Rav..."

I am informing you now, it's not going to be easy. The enemy is prior to death and knows that his days are numbered and wants to take down with him as many as possible. To die alone is not satisfactory for the Sitra Achra. He'll take down as many as he can and its going to be a merciless and cruel war. Don't be fooled and do not be afraid and don't stop.
Am Israel will live but how long and how many will survive and those who will survive, in what condition? It's not going to be easy. HaShem will kill the Sitra Achra together with the Jewish hearts and homes that permitted him entrance, unless he is removed beforehand. You must continue to fight.
