Dovid HaMelech asked HaShem to open his lips. Isn't it obvious that lips need to open so he can speak? What is the question? What is Dovid HaMelech really asking from HaShem?[+/-] show/hide text
When a person prays, he asks HaShem for "needs". Health, children, money, house, family, etc. HaShem send me, give me, bless me, bestow me, etc.
Dovid HaMelech is the King, respected, has money, power, wins all the wars, wives, children, etc. It seems ironic, what "things" does Dovid HaMelech need from HaShem?
ופי יגיד תהילתך - And my lips will Praise you
Dovid HaMelech is not asking HaShem for "things" - he is asking HaShem to open his lips to praise and thank HaShem for all the good He does.
Tzaddikim do not ask from HaShem for "things". They are grateful for all that HaShem gives them and only want to praise HaShem. HaShem loves the Tzaddikim so much, He provides them with "things" that they need.
In this generation, there are people who "think" that Tshuva has been completed and consider themselves "Tzaddikim", so why are they still asking HaShem for "things"?. Didn't HaShem already provided them will all their needs?
They feel they have the ability to KNOW which messages from HaShem are genuine and which to ignore and deny. They have plenty of time to surf the Internet. These Tzaddikim cater and encourages others to follow their view. They preach over and over again that the Lubavitch Rebbe, zs'l, said 14 years ago that Tshuva has been already done. They have the "wisdom" to know what the Rebbe meant - although they themselves were never zoche (merit) to even see him. (A Lubavitcher said: "As far as position of the Rebbe, I'm no expert but it's my understanding he said the job of biurim was done, the refinement of the sparks, not teshuva").
The irony is .... they never seem to have the time to praise HaShem. Maybe they are "secret Tzaddikim" and therefore, do Avodat HaShem Leshem Shamayim in secret?
The Satan has many messengers, including so-called Tzaddikim.... Be careful not to get trapped!

Datam and Aviram were fighting and hitting each other in Egypt and when Moshe Rabbeinu saw this, he said to them "Rasha (evil), why are you hitting your friend"? Rashi says that merely by lifting an arm to strike a fellow, HaShem considers him evil.
No one likes to be rebuked, neither did Datan and Aviram. In the Midbar, when Korach began preaching that Moshe Rabbeinu had taken too much authority for himself, the first people to join him were Datan and Aviram.
When the day of the truth arrived, the earth swallowed Korach, Datan and Aviram and the 250 followers.
Moshiach is almost here, it's a time of confusion... Whoever chooses to follow HaShem, please do Tshuva - listen to His messages... For those who are "confused" read Reb Lazer's last post http://lazerbrody.typepad.com/lazer_beams/2006/07/emuna_news_anal.html. For the so-called Tzaddikim and followers, when the day of truth arrives, HaShem will make you "listen".
