The Light of HaShem

He was in shul and all were davening. In the dream, he saw a strong Light coming in thru the wall. The daveners got scared and ran out of the shul. He decided not to run away and stayed.[+/-] show/hide text

The Light asked him why is he staying when everyone ran out? He said that he is not sure but he doesn't feel fear. The Light identified Himself to be HaShem and asked him why is he davening? He said that he needs things from HaShem. The Light asked what kind of thigs do you need? He said he needs Parnassah (income), health, a good woman, healthy children, happiness, a nice house and car, etc. The Light said all that can be provided if he takes on himself to keep Shabbat. He said he'll think about it but to keep Shabbat fully is too hard for him. The Light disappeared.

The man woke up and ran to the Rabbi Yagen's house to tell him his dream. Rabbi Yagen revoked the man and told him that HaShem wants to give him all he wishes for but first, he needs to help himself - by keeping Shabbat and HaShem's mitzvots, all his wishes will be fulfilled.

The man thought about what the Rabbi said and after a short time, did Tshuva shlema (full).

What means to help himself?

To grow with his mind and spirit and become a high being and than he wwill have and engoy wwhat he is looking for. Without the greatness in himself he will have nothing, because the rest are toys.
