Zohar HaKadosh: End of American Empire

The following are “striking similarities” between America’s current situation and the factors that brought down the Roman Empire.

The Roman Empire flourished because of social, economic, political, and military strengths. Rome was the superpower of its day, boasting an army with the best training, biggest budgets and finest equipment the world had ever seen. The United States is just as dominant - its defense budget allows the US to deploy its forces almost anywhere on the planet at lightning speed.

However, when the very things that make a civilization flourish start to decline, the civilization will also lead to a downfall. The reason for the fall of the Roman Empire was the economic decay because its rulers had expensive lifestyles.

During the latter years of the empire corrupt officials and bad fiscal policy had brought about rampant inflation. Unemployment had led to widespread migrations and unrest and began suffering from inflation (an increase in prices). At one time, the emperor was importing grain to feed more than 100,000 people in Rome alone.

Eventually, the Roman Empire sold land for money and it caused the Roman Empire to become bankrupt.

Shlomo HaMelech, zs'kl, the wisest man wrote in Kohelet, “אין כל חדש תחת השמש There is nothing new under the sun".

Look at the red ink now! Budget deficits, trade deficits, a huge national debt, and the decline of the dollar.

* As of April 2008, the total U.S. federal debt was approximately $9.5 trillion.
* The dollar sank to $1.5688 per euro.
* Unemployment rate rose to 5.5%.
* Reports shows that the collapse of the US housing market and the consequent credit contraction and banking crisis, resulting from the failure of hundreds of billions worth of speculative investments linked to subprime home mortages, has spilled over into the general economy and is rapidly leading to bunkrupcy.

To add insult to injury, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and other Persian Gulf countries have taken advantage of falling prices and its investors are spending billions this year on commercial property in the U.S. Middle Eastern Landmark General Motors building in N.Y. was sold for 2.9 billion dollars. New York's Chrysler Building, an Art Deco icon that helps define the New York skyline, was bought by an Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, the second purchase of a Manhattan landmark by Middle East investors in less than a year.

America is in an existential crisis from which the nation may not survive. The U.S. Army is breaking and is too small to meet America’s global commitments. The dollar has sunk to historic lows and is being abandoned by foreign governments. The culture is collapsing and the nation is being deconstructed along the lines of race and class. All these crises are hitting America at once -- a perfect storm of crises.

What happens next? The Zohar HaKadosh, Parshat Shemot page 8, wrote the script about the end of the American Empire:

ויתחשך שמשא בפלגות יומא כמה דאתחשך יומא דאתחרב בי מקדשא, עד דלא יתחזון שמיא וארעא, ויתער חד קלא ברעם וזיקין, ואתחלחלא ארעא מההוא קלא
…Astroids will hide the sun and the world will be darkened and the flame will spread into fires, just like it was the day the Bet HaMidash was destroyed, and the sky and earth will not be seen, and a loud thunderous voice will awaken (nuclear bomb) causing the earth to shake from its noise.

וכמה חילין ומשריין ימותון מניה. וההוא יומא ממש יתער בקרתא רבתא חד שלהובא דאשא בההוא קלא דיתער בכל עלמא. ויוקיד כמה מגדלין וכמה היכלין וכמה מגדלין יפלון.. וכמה פרדשכי יפלון בההוא יומא. וכלהו יתכנשון עליה לביש. וכל בני עלמא לא יכלין לאשתזבא. ‎
And a VOICE will awaken with thunder and the land will shake from this VOICE and many, including strongmen, will die from its wrath.
And on that same day a burning flame will awaken in the big city, the VOICE will awaken the entire world; it will burn skyscrapers and halls, and some skyscrapers (tall buildings) will fall as well as rulers and governmental officers.

מההוא יומא עד תריסר ירחין יתעייטון כל מלכין. ויגזרון כמה גזרות וכמה שמדות על ישראל ויצלחון ביה כמה דאתמר: זכאה איהו מאן דיערע תמן וזכאה איהו מאן דלא יערע תמן. וכל עלמא יהא בערבוביה סגיא.‎
All the rulers will gather and place harsh decrees on Am Israel and force them to convert from Judaism and the entire world will be in a state of confusion.

לסוף תריסר ירחין יקום שבט מישראל דא מלכא משיחא דיתער גו גנתא דעדן. וכל אינון צדיקייא יעטרון ליה תמן ויחגרון ליה מאני זינא באתון רשימן דמאני דשמא קדישא.‎וקלא יתפוצץ בענפי אילנין דגנתא קרי בחיל ואמר: "אתערו קדישי עליונין, קומו מקמי משיחא, הא עדנא לאתחברא איתתא בבעלה, ובעלה בעי לנקמא לה נוקמין דעלמא, ולאקמא לה ולאנערה לה מעפרא. כדין יקומו כלהו וכו'..
At the end of 12 months, Melech HaMoshiach will awaken in Gan Eden and the Tzaddikim will adorn him. A voice will explode within the branches of the trees in Gan Eden and will call out: "Awaken holy Kedoshim, arise infront of Moshiach. It is time for reuniting the woman with her Husband. The Husband wants to avenge for His wife against all the nations of the world and raise her from the dust."
