Preparations Against the Enemies

Harav Avraham Mordechai Gotlieb Shlita was asked in regards to the escalating war in Israel, mainly Sderot and Ashkelon, as follows:

"Enemies of Israel in the North, South, and East are fully armed and prepared for war against us. There is no doubt that in order for us to win spiritually, we must do Teshuva and strengthen in Mitzvot to be able to overcome and win the enemy. But is this enough? How can we also prepare ourselves physically?"

Answer:
בס"ד

In the physical sense, there is no doubt we must strengthen and do all necessary means to get ready for a war, both the IDF and civilians must prepare.

In my opinion, a state without roots cannot win its enemy that demands her land. Most Israeli citizens are disconnected from the Torah and have no roots. They are unsure of their right to our land that they call a state. They live on this land for various other reasons.

Only the Torah permits the right for Am Israel to reside in Eretz Israel. This is the reason that most don't want to fight because they have nothing to fight for. When push comes to shove and people's lives will be in great danger, a big portion of Israelis will want to flee the country.

When the 'state of Israel' was originally captured and built, it was based on secularism. If Eretz Israel would have been recaptured according to the laws of the Torah, there would be none of the non-Jews living in Eretz Israel. The government allowed non-Jewish foreigners to live in our land instead of prohibiting strangers to inhibit the land. This is the results of humanism and we have haven't even reached bottom pit yet, may G.od have mercy on us.

There is only one answer, Am Israel must return to Torah of Israel, this is the true preparation to win the enemies externally and internally. When a person has roots, he has the necessary courage and justified reasons to fight for his home and land.
