Seudat Shira In Honor of Devorah HaNevia, a'h

A BIG thank you and yasher koach to all the wonderful people who donated for the Seduat Mitzvah le iluy nishmat and in honor of Devorah HaNevia, a'h.

One cannot comprehend the nachat Tzadaka gives HKB'H. Our chachamim teach us that Tzedakah is “equal to all the mitzvos” and “brings closer the redemption.”

The Seudat Mitzvah was, b'h, a tremendeous success. The Chabad Shul has a congregation of about 25 people and we prepared for about 40 people, but chasdei Shamyim, over 60 people showed up and stayed for the Seudat Mitzvah, and there was plenty of food for everybody. Even the Rav of the shul was very surprised that so many showed up, people he never met or saw before.

The atmosphere in the shul was very spiritual and my husband merited to say the Haftara, Shirat Devorah HaNevia, a'h. The atmosphere during the Seuda was amazing with thick air of achdut (unity), despite the fact that it was a mixture of people of different backgrounds. The men sang songs in unison and a few also said Divrei Torah. My husband also spoke about the greatness of Devorah HaNevia. After my husband's speech, many of the guests came over to my husband and said that they were very moved by his speech and he has peaked their interest to learn more about Devorah HaNevia. Many guests told my husband that they were not aware how much she sacrificed for Am Israel and that her Heichal is extremely important to HKB'H. A few promised that they will too make seuda in their shul in honor of Devorah HaNevia, a'h.

Some of the donation money also went to the Tehillim program for the children in the shul. About 50 children came and all said Tehillim le iluy nishmat Devorah HaNevia, and the Rav commented to my husband that he never saw the children saying Tehillim with so much spiritual fire.

ישתבח שמו לעד לנצח נצחים בכל העולמות
Blessed is His name for eternity in all worlds

Importance of Gratitude

Ohr HaChaim HaKadosh, zs'kl, says in the name of the Chida HaKadosh, zs'kl, that when HaShem does a miracle for a person and this person shows HKB'H gratitude, HaShem promises that He'll bestow another miracle on this person.

Devorah HaNevia, a'h, sang to HKB'H in the song of gratitude and said URI (awaken) 4 times;
עורי עורי דבורה, עורי עורי
The first two URI's were to thank HaShem for the great miracle of winning Sisra and the last two URI's were for the miracle that HaShem will bestow on her.

The Chida HaKadosh says that in the last two URI's (wake up), she asked HaShem not to bestow the promised miracle in her lifetime but to transfer it to the last generation at the End of Days. She asked HKB'H that the final redemption should come easily for the last generation, with many miracles, just as HaShem did for her generation and they easily won Sisra and the land was quite for 40 years.

Devorah HaNevia is so humble and cares so much about Am Israel - she humbly transferred her promised miracles, 3,000 years later, to us, TO US!!!!!!

In gratitute to Devorah HaNevia's song of praise to HaShem, we also need to show Hakarat Hatov (gratitude) to Devorah HaNevia for transferring her promised miracles to us for the redemption to come without pain....

If you would like to show your gratitude to Devorah HaNevia, join us for Seudat Shabbat Shira in honor of Devorah HaNevia at the Chabad Shul in Ramot Aleph, Jerusalem, or you can participate by sending a donation in this tremendous Mitzvah.

In honor of Devorah HaNevia, b'h, we'll also be going to Tel Kadesh to the Tzion of Devorah HaNevia, a'h, Tuesday evening.

If you want a prayer for you at the Tzaddeket's kever, you can mail me at nava998@yahoo.com. All prayers requested will remain in the Tzion as a kvittel.

If you cannot attend the scheduled upcoming Shabbat meal or contribute, I'd like to propose to light a candle in memory of Devorah HaNevia and remit a donation to another organization this week to help the Jewish needy in Israel in her memory and honor.

Shabbat Shira Shalom

This Shabbat, Parshat Beshalach, is notable for many things. It is one of the few throughout the year that is given a special name. Parshat Beshalach is called Shabbat Shira (the Shabbat of Song), commemorating the glorious and awe-inspiring event when, after the miraculous deliverance from the Egyptians at the Red Sea, the children of Israel simultaneously burst forth into a song of praise to Hashem.

In the Haftara, we read Shirat Devorah. In both the Parasha and the Haftarah, women play a prominent role. “Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aharon, took her drum in her hand and all the women went forth after her with drums and with dances.” (Shemot 15:20). The victory related in the Haftarah takes place under the leadership of Devorah HaNevia, a'h, and it is into “the hands of a woman” (Shoftim 4:9), Yael, a'h, that Hashem delivers the General Sisra. After the victory against Sisra, Prophet Devorah leads the nation in a song of praise to HKB'H. This song outlines the recurring theme in the history of Israel: Oppression -- Repentance -- Victory.

Chasdei HaShem, with much gratitute to HKB'H, we will be making a Seduat Kiddush in honor of Devorah HaNevia, a'h, on Shabbat Parshat Beshalach, when Shirat Devorah is said in every shul, every city, every state, and every country, world-wide.

We are calling upon you to make an effort to make a kiddush in your shul in honor of Devorah HaNevia, a’h.

If it is not possible for you to do so but would like to participate, you can join our Seuda in honor of Devorah HaNevia, a’h, in Ramot Aleph, Yerushalayim. Or you can participate by sending a donation in this tremendous Mitzvah that comes only once a year (The Yartzeit of Devorah HaNevia, a’h, is unknown. Therefore, it is most appropriate time to make a kiddush/Seudah for Devorah HaNevia on Shabbat Parshat Beshalach).

"Zrizim Makdimim Limitzvot"
"One should perform a Mitzvah at the earliest possible time"

The same way that HKB’H redeemed Am Israel from Egypt in Parshat Beshalach and in the Haftara saved them from wicked Sisera, we pray to the Creator of the World that we should be redeemed immediately and be zoche for the coming of Moshiach now, Amen.

Our scholars teach us that saying Parshat Man the 3rd day of the week of Parshat Beshalach, (January 26, 2010), is a very special Segula for livlihood.

שמות פרק טז פסוּק ד
וַיֹּאמֶר ה' אֶל מֹשֶׁה הִנְנִי מַמְטִיר לָכֶם לֶחֶם מִן הַשָּׁמָיִם
Exodus Chapter 16;4
Till the last passuk, וְהָעֹמֶר, עֲשִׂרִית הָאֵיפָה הוּא.

After saying Parshat HaMann, say the following prayer for livlihood:

Rachav HaTzaddika, a'h

Last week I dreamed that there is a tikun to do for the Jews in France and therefore, I should send my husband to Paris. I was told that France צרפת in Gematria is 770 - the same as Bet Moshiach and the year we are in now, 5770.

The following morning of my husband's arrival in France, he went to shul Ohel Rut and saw a raven standing above him. What caught my husband's attention was that this raven wasn't black like all ravens but rather it was pure white and it was not crowing, it was chirping like a bird. Additionally, it was extemely cold and ravens dislike cold weather but regardless, the raven stood on the shul's roof for about 15 minutes in the cold and was chirping like a bird.

That night my husband had a dream and the white raven was speaking to him. It was a woman's voice, a beautiful voice. She asked my husband if he knew who she was and my husband tried to guess but could not. She told him she was Rachav, Yehoshua's bin Nun's wife, a'h.

Rachav was a non-Jew whom lived in Jericho. Prior to the Jews entering Israel, Yehoshua bin Nun sent two spies to seek out the land. They came to Rachav's house to seek shelter from the king of Jericho. Rachav risked her own life and hid the Jewish spies from the king's soldiers. The report given by Yehoshua bin Nun’s spies was optimistic because of Rachav's faith that HaShem will give the land of Canaan to the children of Israel.

My husband was very surprised in the dream that Rachav is in Paris and Rachav HaTzaddika told my husband that in the zchut that she made it possible for Am Israel to capture Eretz Israel, she was given the important task of gathering Am Israel from all over the world to Eretz Israel.

Rachav HaTzaddika, a'h, asked my husband that we light candles for her neshama because it helps her and gives HKB'H much nachat. Please light a candle in honor of Rachav HaTzaddika and b'h, ask that in her zchut you will b'h be zoche to make Aliya, amen.

Dreams Do Come True!

Last night, exactly a week since being at the Tzion of the Abir Yaakov, zs'kl, my husband dreamed that the Abir Yaakov appeared to him. The Tzaddik Kadosh Elyon told my husband that all the prayers I prayed at his Tzion for all the people around the world, including my personal prayers, reached him.

The Abir Yaakov also told my husband that Miriam HaNevia was at his Tzion in the image of a white dove and he also told my husband that together with Miriam HaNevia, a'h, are judging all the bakashot to b'h fullfill them.

If you would like your judgment to be sweetened, I humbly suggest you light 2 candles, one for Rabbi Yaakov Abuchazera and the other for Miriam HaNevia, a'h, and ask that your bakashot be fullfilled for the good, amen.

In Honor of Devorah HaNevia, a'h

"Zeh hayom asa Hashem nagila venismecha bo"
"This is the day Hashem has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it" (Tehillim 118:24).

A tremendousZchut (merit) has come to us with much Chasdei HaShem to b'h make a beautiful Shabbat kiddush in honor of Devorah HaNevia, a’h, in our synagogue. May her merits protect us, amen.

There is no need to add on after all that was written about Devorah HaNevia, a'h, and how close she is to our hearts.

May we be zoche to see unnatural miracles in our own eyes, as it says in Shirat Devorah:
URI URI DEVORAH, URI URI.

The same way that HKB’H redeemed Am Israel from Egypt in Parshat Beshalach and in the Haftara saved them from wicked Sisera, we pray to the Creator of the World that we should be redeemed immediately and be zoche for the coming of Moshiach now, Amen.

"One should perform a Mitzvah at the earliest possible time" Please mark on the paypal donation that it is for participating in the Se'udah in honor of Devorah HaNevia, a'h.

Pilgrimage to Abir Yaakov, zs'kl

Israelis need a visa to enter Egypt and out of thousands requests, only 70-80 visas were granted. About 350 people in total were zoche this year to go the Tzion, mostly those with foreign passports (including myself).

The trip was b'h very successful and spiritual. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures to download because my camera was confiscated. Security for the 350 Jews pilgrimage was very tight and Egyptians till today hate and loath Jews. They made us sit on the bus and wait two and a half hours till they gave us permission to leave from Cairo to Dimanhur, about a 3-4 hour bus ride.

I must share with you at least one story lekadesh shem shamayim, to sanctify Hashem's name. A very sweet woman told me that 11 years ago she travelled to Abir Yaakov after undergoing 4 miscarriages. She prayed that in the zchut of the Abir Yaakov, HaShem will gift her with twins and triplets. Exactly 9 months later, she give birth to a healthy boy and named him Yaakov, in honor of the Tzaddik Kadosh Elyon Rabbi Yaakov. 2 years later she gave birth to twins and some time later, she gave birth to triplets. Chasdei Shamayim. The triplets are now 5 years old and she returned this year to the kever of the Abir Yaakov to share with him her thanks to HKB'H.

The Eyptians authority permitted us about 4 hours to pray at the Tzion and because the room of the kever was packed, I decided to pray outside. At one point, I attempted entering the Tzion and was successful. It was during this time it was announced that everyone must leave the Tzion to allow the grandson of the Baba Sali, zs'kl, yechidut (privacy) with his great grandfather. Slowly people started trickling outside and I said to myself that I too will go outside but someone decided to shut the doors of the Tzion and about 70 people remained inside, including myself. I quickly took out all the requested prayers and started reading them out loud. About an hour later, just as I was finishing reading the last kvittel (request), the doors of the Tzion opened up and in seconds, there was no room to move. I couldn't even get to the kever and asked a lady infront of me to place all the kvittels underneath the parochet of the Tzion.

For all those who sent pidyon hanefesh, I personally hand-delivered your prayers and donations to the grandson of the Baba Sali, Rabbi Yechiel Abuchazera Shlita, inside the Tzion.

Thank you for allowing me to be your messenger.

B'h, in the zchut of the Tzaddik Rabbi Yaakov Abuchazera, may all your tefillot and requests be answered for the good and b'h, may it be HaShem's will that you see yeshuot immediately, amen.

Pictures of the pilgrimage to Abir Yaakov, zs'kl, are available here.

Abir Yaakov, zs'kl

It's been a year since we were zoche to make Aliya. B'h, I can say that our Aliya was very successful, chasdei Shamayim. When I arrived in Israel, I promised myself that I'll never get on an airplane ever again. I want to live and die only in Eretz Israel but there is one place that I want to go and that is Dimanhur, Egypt.

About three years ago, Kadosh Elyohn Saraf Rabbi Yaakov Abuchatzeira, the Abir Yaakov, zs'kl, appeared to me in a dream and asked that I come to visit him. I can finally b'h and b'n fulfill the Abir Yaakov's request. B'h, I'll be leaving Monday night and returning Tuesday night. The yartzeit of the Tzaddik Abir Yaakov is 20 TEVET.

If you want a prayer for you at the Tzaddik's kever and/or if you want pidyon hanefesh*, you can mail me at nava998@yahoo.com. All prayers requested will remain in the Tzion as a kvittel.

*Pidyon Nefesh is a very special and powerful prayer and blessing that has the spiritual strength of a sacrifice in the Bet Hamikdash to atone for sin and to mitigate severe judgments. The bigger and more pious the tzaddik, the more effective the "pidyon", which literally means "redemption", where one's money is literally a sacrifice for one's body and soul. The pidyon money "redeems" the nefesh, or soul, in other words, "Pidyon Nefesh."

This is used when a major salvation is needed, such as in the case of a dangerous illness, a severe court case, or as a rescue from trouble or danger. Rebbe Nachman of Breslev, zs'kl, says that Pidyon Nefesh is the "sweetening", or mitigation of harsh decrees and serves as a salvation from any trouble, for the main cure and solution of sickness is the pidyon (see Likutei Moharan II:3).
