Tzizit Campaign Update

B'h, over $3,000 was donated for the purchase of the Tziziot for our soldiers. The 3rd shipment of the Tziziot left tonite to Lebanon. As soon as the Tziziot are being purchased, they are getting shipped directly to our soldiers who are in Lebanon. May HaShem protect them, amen. It's not easy to find 10,000 Tziziot in one place and many factories in the North are closed. But b'h, HaShem is our partner in this Mitzvah and the soldiers are enthuistic to wear them.

But a problem has risen. Unsurprisingly, the forces of evil insisted that the cloth of the Tzizit should be in army color of Khaki and b'h, this problem was solved and the purchased Tziziot were tye-dyed accordingly (except for the holy fringes).

While in 2 warfronts, the South and North, many soldiers are getting killed, HI'D, the forces of evil are unsurprisingly protecting the satan. The satan gave the forces of evil another blockage idea to stop the shipment of the Tziziot.

The Golani Commanding Officer found time to instigate a new battlefront against Jews who wear their Tzizit with the holy fringes showing and commanded a new order with threats "HIDE THE TZIZIT OR GO TO JAIL"

Golani is an elite unit and the most highly decorated infantry unit in the IDF. Many soldiers want to be a "Golani" and it's very difficult to get accepted into this brigade.

The Golani Commanding Officer decided that showing the fringes of the Tzizit is not acceptable and is threatening the Golani recruits to tuck in the Tzizit into the pants and if not, go to prison, get punished, and be removed from the Golani brigade.

This morning, 6 soldiers from Golani brigade 51 were removed and placed in jail. When Arutz 7 and Rabbanim petitioned against this insanity, the threat was reduced from jail time to labor work for the master sergeant.

The saddest part of all this is that this Golani Commanding Officer is (Jewish) religious and thinks he knows the the Halacha better than his soldiers and Rabbanim. Probably that's why he cast this insane command along with threats.

A rabbinical authority said "the soldiers must aggressively withstand to keep the Mitzvah, as it says "וראיתם אותו"- and you shall see it. According to the Torah commandment one is to wear Tzitzit (fringes) at the corners of their garments as a reminder of Providence and the Laws and Commandments (Numbers 15:37-41). Some poskim hold that the whole Tzizit should be worn outside to be seen but all Poskim agree that Tziziot must be seen and it is Halacha. To force the soldiers to go against the Halacha, is a decree against Judaism".

IDF responded "this is a recruit group that was having a training exercise and going into the field and they were asked to tuck in their Tzizit fringes".

Our precious soldiers are risking their lives every minute, and the forces of evil are commanding them to go against Jewish values. Talit katan should be part of the Jewish Uniform and it should be worn proudly and honorably just like the uniform of the armed forces.

There is a midrash that relates of a man drowning in a lake who cries to the captain of a passing boat. The captain throws him a rope to save and pull him aboard. Hakaddosh Baruch Hu gave us the rope of the tzitzis to grab in order to pull us close to Him. It is a protection, for our bodies and souls and a connection to Hashem. This alludes to the the promise that if one fulfills "and you shall see it", one will be granted the privilege to live and fulfill mitzvos.

The real war is between spirituality and impurity. May Hashem save us from the weak, confused, and secular leaders and protect our devoted soldiers, amen.
